NCC Knives is a new addition to the knife world but Nick Chuprin, the owner/operator is doing good work and his commitment shows. His modern interpretation of the classic Japanese utility knife, the Kiridashi, is a prime example. Simple, effective, and well made. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, it’s made in the USA.
Brand new directly from NCC Knives.
The Blade:Â The 1/8″ thick blade is made from O1 tool steel, a long standing performer in the custom knife world, especially when heat treated to 63 HRC. The chisel ground edge provides a full inch of cutting length with a fine tip and added strength and control in fine tasks. The blade is finished in a heat treated, Distressed finish that will offer some protection against corrosion on this non-stainless steel. A hole at the end of the tang offers a lanyard attachment point to extend the working grip area.Â
The Handle: A single solid piece of Blue G10 is mounted to one side of the knife with two black Allen head bolts. The scale and blade tang are chamfered to offer a surprisingly comfortable and secure grip on this diminutive cutting tool.
The Sheath:Â Includes a custom molded Kydex sheath with eyelets for multiple carry options.
